Beautiful, old and rustic log cabins with a small beach on Lake George. Close to the village without the noise. It's not for everyone. No room service. Has cabins with or without a kitchen. Only breakfast is available at main lodge at reasonable prices.

Thank you Ernie & fam for a wonderful trip "home" after 25 years! Just returned from a 4 day/3 night stay in unit 20 (2 bedrooms, 3 beds, kitchen, bath). I had booked flights for our stay well in advance of finding lodging, and then realized the week we selected for my grandmother's celebration of life coincided with Americade. EVERYTHING online was booked, so I made a short list of motels/resorts to call and check for vacancy. My first call was to Alpine Village. Spoke with Ernie who informed me he only had one unit left, but required 4 night min due to the Americade event. My heart sank, as I was striking out everywhere and really wanted to stay on the lake, having lived in Lake George until age 12 before moving to Georgia, and had not been back in 25 years. I also knew we didn't need two bedrooms and figured the rate for the extra space would be exorbitant. Ernie and I got to talking, and as I told him the reason for our trip, he offered to let us stay for just the 3 nights, and the rate was just over $100 per night- for basically a small apartment! I couldn't believe it. I eagerly said, "we'll take it!". We arrived about 3PM and checked in with his daughter. I was almost brought to tears when we pulled in and so many childhood memories of my time on the lake came flooding back. The aesthetic of the log cabins, main lodge, and lake views took my breath away. As we approached our unit, we met a wonderful couple that we got to know during our stay who were there for the motorcycle event. Everyone we met on the property was so fun to talk to- my GA born and raised fiancé loved the northern accents and was shocked by how friendly and social everyone was (he may have had some preconceived notions!). Our unit felt like being at summer camp- rustic, appliances and furniture that may have been as old as I am, window unit ACs- and I LOVED it. Sheets looked brand new, towels were thin but clean and I brought my own from home anyways. Didn't cook or prepare any meals so can't speak to that- but loved having a full size fridge and dishes for our beverages and we did eat in one night with a pizza to go from Capri's. My dad ended up joining us in the extra bedroom for 2 nights as he drove up from GA earlier than planned so the extra space ended up being perfect. I'd say 90% of the rest of the guests were motorcyclists up for the event. They were all super respectful, no crazy parties or loud noises late night- I kept waiting as the days ticked on for them to get rowdy, but it never happened...LOL We had one breakfast in the lodge during our stay and it was really yummy- think a basic IHOP menu. Was fun to hear all the other guests who all know each other and have been coming here for years talk about their previous day or what was on the agenda for the new day. Overall- this was the perfect spot for us to stay for our trip to Lake George. This trip meant a lot to me- my grandmother's funeral, introducing my SOUTHERN fiancé who has never been in the northeast to just where it is I had the immense pleasure of growing up, and being in a town I had not been back to since I was 15 (I just turned 40). To a kindhearted owner that bent his own rules to let me stay a night short of the minimum and charged me next to nothing, to the repeat guests who made us feel welcome and like we belonged, to seeing the kids staying there running around OUTSIDE and living a childhood I have feared no one lives anymore. It is not the Ritz, there are not tempurpedic mattresses or 800 thread count sheets and Egyptian cotton towels, but it was absolutely perfect for us and my dad had a blast too. Returning to the scorching heat that is June in Georgia today, I am so thankful this place helped my husband-to-be fall in love with Lake George so we can go back together again and again. Move love to Ernie and the gang! We had a blast with y'all! Sara & John Athens, GA

Quaint cabin, Ernie is great. Cabin is super clean. Entire resort has amazing access to the lake, docking area for boats, great beach with sturdy chairs. My only complaints are : Pool and restaurant was not open, and this was not advertised on the website They like to push their guests to pay cash, so state up front during reservations if you want to pay with a credit card to avoid any confusion.

Very rustic original charm for a log cabin. This would be my 3rd time staying here. The owner is great, accommodating and funny. You can tell he loves what he does. The price has always been competitive with the surrounding hotel's. About a mile from the strip. I will always book with them when I'm vacationing there unless they're fully booked.

Perfect family vacation spot with adequate space to socially distance. Small beach area with couple of row boats for guests, BBQ pits, swings for children and a swimming pool. Ernie and family who own the place are very friendly. We got a cabin with 2 beds that will sleep 4 and a suite in the lodge that will sleep 6. Suite has a full kitchen (no oven), cabin had a kitchenette with refrigerator and microwave. Lake George shopping area is a few minutes drive or walking distance if you prefer. If I am to visit Lake George again, I will stay at Alpine Village.

Alpine Village is one place that is a must for us each year. Ernie and Lil are gracious hosts. Ernie will bend over backwards to make your stay memorable! We have been going there for over 30 yrs and Ernie and Lil have become like family! They do their best to keep prices affordable. So if you are in need of the little extras, bring them! A luxury towel or special shampoo., are easy for you to bring it makes it better for all of us who want to bring our families to an affordable place. With beautiful lake views and amenities. A better quality stay you won't find on the Lake George strip! If you feel you have to write a failing review, you are looking in the wrong place! Try the Marriott ! This place is for FAMILY fun!.

Resort location is on the lake side. Rooms are around $115 but it is quite old. But it is worth the price. You will get a private lake beach in the resort. They have free Kayaks, peddle boat, motor boats for your use with $20 refundable deposit. During my stay there were very few people and we were around 15 people stayed in different rooms and we felt like we had a private resort only for us. It was a wonderful stay and will visit again.
